Voice and Data Communications

The AN/PRC-7350 software-defined Combat Net Radio (CNR) system equips Warfighters with secure voice and data communications. The CNR meets the CryptoMod program established by the National Security Agency (NSA). With the framework of a modernized form of an AN/PRC-148 radio mounted in a CNR Vehicle Adapter (CVA), the AN/PRC-7350 delivers an unmistakable enhancement to form, fit, and function of the legacy RT-1523E/F and RT-1702 family of radios. As a Software Defined Radio (SDR), the AN/PRC-7350 provides tactical Line of Site (LOS) and Satcom waveforms for complete interoperability with a full range of legacy tactical radios. The AN/PRC-7350 is equipped with a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that minimizes training and maximizes convenience for a truly user-friendly experience.

Operational Advantages

  • As a drop in replacement to the legacy family of RT-1523 radios using existing mounts, amplifiers, and ancillary items, the CNR offers integration cost reduction over alternate radios.
  • Crypto Modernized solution that simplifies integration, training and fielding.
  • Provides security and the exceptional range of reliable VHF communications in a small form factor for mounted and dismounted operations — a single-channel solution based on the world’s most fielded radio technology.
  • Provides the reliable, dependable and proven CNR waveforms that offers robustness, great range and LPI/LPD.
  • Interoperable with all legacy single-channel and next generation one and two-channel radios.
  • Replicates and maintains existing interfaces used throughout the DoD reducing training time and costs.
  • Quick disconnect (jerk & run) handheld for dismounted operations.
