Field-Proven Crypto Modernized Mounted and Dismounted Communications Solution
The Thales RT-2129 Combat Net Radio (CNR) System equips warfighters with highly secure Crypto-Modernized Command, Control, and Communications (C3) secure voice and data communications for both mounted and dismounted operations. The RT-2129 is a form-fit-function drop-in upgrade of the legacy RT-1523E/F radios and is readily deployable. The Thales CNR radio was developed in accordance with the U.S. Army’s program of record specifications for the legacy RT-1523. In addition to enhancing current communications capabilities, the Thales CNR radio transceivers have been designed to offer full interoperability with new and legacy systems.
The Thales RT-2129 radio system is engineered to meet versatile mission needs as either a mounted solution readily installed into existing or new VRC VAA applications or as a small form factor dismounted handheld. In the mounted application, the radio works with the Embedded Tactical Data Router and as a handheld/manpack, it features a standard interface. In both use cases this enables C2 applications to access the Tactical Internet.
