On-The-Move Modular Command System
EDGE-Lite is a modular expeditionary mission command system that provides On-The-Move (OTM)/At-The-Halt (ATH) agnostic network capability. EDGE-Lite supports mobile network connectivity delivering Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) through resilient Line and Beyond Line of Sight (LOS/BLOS) voice and data communication sharing. The kit provides automated Primary, Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency (PACE) for both permissive and non-permissive operational environments and is suited for a wide-range of operational environments from Tactical Operations Centers to ad hoc demand for quick reaction teams operating OTM.
Operational Advantages
- EDGE-Lite allows users at the tactical edge to act decisively with real-time information from local and cloud-based command/control systems.
- Provides a robust and rugged SWaP product that is mobile across all vehicle platforms and/or hard site installations; designed to operate in austere environments.
- Accepts a broad range of AC/DC voltage and is operational autonomously for 6–12 hours with two installed BB-2590 batteries. (runtime dependent on internal transport layers active.)
- Offers the option to combine upper Tactical Internet (TI) with lower TI transport layers with automated fail-over between nodes using least cost routing algorithms.
- Security enclave is user defined and able to serve on Secret, Unclassified, and Sensitive But Unclassified-Encrypted (SBU-E) network systems.
- Facilitates integration with other data sharing devices through Power over Ethernet (PoE) connections.
- Consists of a reliable pole-to-pole transport layer (MissionLINK®) that provides both BLOS and OTM voice and data.
- Radio agnostic: users can configure the local network infrastructure through a wide assortment of tactical radio options.
