Phillip Rice
Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Facilities Operations
Phillip Rice is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and vice president of facilities operations for Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (TDSI). As CIO, Mr. Rice is responsible for all information technology activities, including strategic and technical leadership of network and development operations, cybersecurity, application development, and client services. He also oversees facilities operations and long-range planning for real estate assessment; construction and lease; building automation; energy management; Health, Safety and Environment (HSE); and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Mr. Rice is the technical and compliance advisor to TDSI’s Government Security Committee, and a subject matter expert for industry best practices for the protection of national security information, including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) special publications, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and Foreign Ownership Control or Influence (FOCI) governance.
Mr. Rice joined TDSI (then Racal Communications, Inc.) in 1994 and continues to lead enterprise improvement projects to ensure TDSI’s industry leadership in modern and secure information systems.
